      <title>Do I need orthotics?</title>
      <link>https://www.oregonpodiatry.net/Do I need orthotics</link>
<description>Are custom orthotics needed? This is a very common question that I will hear from people. They often state that they have been told that they have flat feet and may need an orthotic because of said flat feet. I will tell people that orthotics are a device used to address pain or a gait abnormality that is producing pain. One can have flat feet and not have pain. Placing an individual in custom orthotic because of the appearance of having flat feet does not necessarily address an issue. Now evaluating an infant or toddler for flat feet becomes another issue.</description>
